It was 100 acres of fields, hills, trees, trails, and big blue sky that we could explore for an hour or two on our own. My mom took me to horse riding lessons every week even though she probably hated every minute of it. I always wanted a horse, never got one, and even at the age of 48, I still want a horse, only now I know what work it would entail, so I am content to just imagine that one day I might have the time.
